Conference Agenda

DAY 1: AUGUST 10TH
Cut, Shape & Create
If you love the idea of using tools to make something beautiful, Day 1 was made for you. From Cricut machines that cut perfect designs in seconds, to polymer clay jewelry you can wear, to a glittering resin suncatcher you hang in your window, this is the day for makers who love to see things take shape. We also step into the meditative world of Japanese floral art and the satisfying process of making honey and oat soap from scratch. Pick one, try them all, or let yourself be surprised.

DAY 2: AUGUST 11TH
Paper Trails
Paper is where so many creative journeys begin, and Day 2 proves there is no limit to what you can do with it. Whether you have always wanted to make gorgeous handmade cards, build a junk journal from scraps and memories, or finally send a piece of art through the mail, this day is your invitation. Techniques range from beginner watercolor to creative scrapbooking and mixed media, so no matter your experience level, you will find a project that feels like it was made for your hands.

DAY 3: AUGUST 12TH
Stitch & Fiber
There is something deeply satisfying about creating with your hands and a length of fiber, and Day 3 is your chance to try it. Cast on your first knitting project, crochet an adorable amigurumi octopus, knot a macrame coaster, or pick up a needle and stitch something beautiful onto felt or a tea towel. Whether you are completely new to fiber arts or already have yarn in your lap as you read this, these sessions will meet you right where you are.

DAY 4: AUGUST 13TH
Draw, Paint & Letter
Day 4 is for every person who has ever said "I can't draw" and then kept secretly wishing they could. From the meditative lines of Zentangle to acrylic hydrangeas painted in loose, confident strokes, from calligraphy flourishes to full-color caricature portraits, this day covers the full range of making marks on a page. We also step into digital tools with Procreate pattern design, proving that creative expression belongs to anyone willing to pick up a brush, a pen, or a stylus.

DAY 5: AUGUST 14TH
Quilt, Felt & Fabric
Close out the summit week with the warmth and depth of fabric arts. Day 5 brings together quilters, felters, and textile makers of every background, including a deeply moving session on quilting with African wax print fabrics and the stories they carry. Whether you want to finish a quilt, needle felt a tiny brooch, create a no-sew trinket dish, or learn the art of tufting, this final day celebrates what fabric can become when creativity and intention meet.

Meet Your Summit Hosts
Donna Clark
Artist & Creative Educator
Co-Host of the Craft Discovery Summit
Donna Clark is the founder of Cowtown 25, The Art Experience, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Her mission is to give people permission to create, and she specializes in approachable resin and crushed glass art projects that require no prior experience. She believes in showing up, trusting the process, and having fun with color and texture.
Drawing on a background as an award-winning video producer, theatre arts educator, and creative entrepreneur, Donna has spent years helping people reconnect with their creativity. Whether teaching in her studio or online, she creates welcoming experiences that inspire beginners to make something beautiful with confidence.

Peya Robbins
Summit Manager
Co-Host of the Craft Discovery Summit
Peya Robbins has been in the room for more summits than she can count — hosting, producing, and keeping things moving behind the scenes for Mastery Route. You may know her from Quilters Paradise summits, where she has helped set the tone and bring energy to the summit experience, and she will be doing the same to the machine embroidery world. She is not a machine embroiderer, and she leans heavily into that. Because when you don't know the "rules," you ask better questions. The ones beginners are too nervous to raise and the ones experts stopped thinking about years ago. Peya's job is to get the good stuff out of every speaker and make sure you leave with answers you can actually do something with. Come ready to learn. She'll take care of the rest.
