Terms of Service

Language Babel, Inc. (d/b/a Mastery Route, Teacher Summits, World Language Teacher Summit, Spanish Teacher Success Academy, Speaking Latino) (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates websites and services including https://www.masteryroute.com and related platforms (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you (“you,” “user,” or “member”) agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription.
• We do not knowingly allow use by persons under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account and delete personal data consistent with our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity on your account.
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized use or suspected breach of security at support @ masteryroute.com.

3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellations

• Automatic Renewal (if applicable to product). Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless canceled. By purchasing a paid subscription product (not all products are paid subscriptions, any subscription products will clearly state so on the checkout page), you authorize us to charge your payment method for the initial and recurring fees.
• Price Changes. If we change prices, we will notify you in advance. The new price will apply at your next renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term, and you will retain access until then.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time. This does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to:

• Violate laws or infringe intellectual property rights.
• Harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Upload malicious code or interfere with our systems.
• Send spam or unauthorized promotions.
• Scrape, copy, or exploit the Services for commercial purposes without permission.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of the content you submit (“User Content”).
• You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, use, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services.
• This license ends when you remove your User Content, except where it was shared with others or retained for backups/legal purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

• The Services, including content, software, trademarks, and branding, are owned by or licensed to Language Babel, Inc.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services except as expressly permitted.
• You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code unless permitted by law.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the Services or Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide advance notice by email or in-product message.
• Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must cancel your subscription and stop using the Services.

9. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if:
  • You violate these Terms,
  • You fail to pay fees due,
  • We discontinue the Services, or
  • Required by law or for security reasons.
• Upon termination, your access ends, and we may delete your data consistent with our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may include links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for their content, products, or practices.

11. Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement, send a notice with the following to our Copyright Agent:

• Your signature,
• Identification of the copyrighted work,
• Identification of the infringing material and its location,
• Your contact information,
• A statement of good faith belief, and
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act.

12. Disclaimers

• The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure Services.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Neither we nor our affiliates, officers, employees, or partners will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Our total liability for any claim in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us during that period.
• These limits do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
• Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of San Juan, Puerto Rico, unless prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us.
• Severability. If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Notices. We may provide notices by email, account notifications, or postal mail.
